Zeynep Sevin Üstün
1993
Zeynep Sevin Üstün explores the symbiotic relationships found in nature and architecture. Zeynep intertwines transient forms through her works. A reference is given to nature and our constructed selves through the forms and layers in the paintings which represent decay and rebirth simultaneously.
She plays with texture, layers and figurative lines using oil, acrylic and ink. Her abstract paintings build up to form delicate textures which address fragility. The self is manufactured and built again and again through each layer. There are no strict boundaries in her work and the organic forms constructed through lines and layers portray versatility and fluidity.
Zeynep made her debut in Italy at Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura in 2020. The next exhibition Zeynep will show one of her works at is on from 03.12.2021 to 30.01.2022 at Museo Del Mar, Alicante, Spain. She has exhibited in culture centres, a private gallery and a museum as part of group shows.
Zeynep resides and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
